Mr Tim Kemp: Chairman
(Cert IV Assessment and Workplace Training and Certificate in Sports Management). He is an AUSTSWIM course presenter, a Life Saving Victoria Examiner and is a VICSWIM Regional coordinator. Tim has 20 years’ experience in the aquatic industry and in 2015 he was awarded AUSTSWIM Presenter of the Year. Tim manages a successful swim school in Maffra, Gippsland which achieved the 2007 Swim School of the Year awarded by Swim School Owners Association of Australia.
Ms Pam O'Reilly:
(TSTC, B.Ed, Dip. Ed. MultiCultural Ed.) Retired educator and Quality Manager for AMES (Adult Multicultural Education Services), Project Manager for the OTFE (Office of Training and Further Education). Former HR Manager with ACIL (NGO). Currently a private consultant in quality and change management.
Mr Andrew Whittaker:
Retired CEO of ARV (Aquatics and Recreation Victoria) responsible for the VICSWIM Program, training of swimming and water safety teachers and the introduction of the 'Play it Safe by the Water' campaign. Recently has been working as a business volunteer in SE Asia, providing training in marketing and communications.
Mr Lawrie Mann:
(Major in Political Science Uni NSW, MBA Melbourne Uni.) Retired Group HR at APT, a major cruising and touring company, Lawrie had global responsibilities for employees in Australia, NZ, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany and UK. Lawrie has been a member of senior executive teams for well known international companies such as Kodak, Kraft and Ericsson. He now works as a private consultant.
Ms Kathie Kemp:
(Cert IV Assessment and Workplace Training) Kathie is an AUSTSWIM course presenter and has been presenting Austswim courses for 30 years. Kathie has been involved in the aquatic industry for many years as a teacher and life guard. Kathie has lived overseas in Japan, Germany and Hong Kong and currently resides in Maffra, Victoria. Kathie is also a Life Saving Victoria trainer delivering First Aid and CPR courses. Kathie has been a volunteer with Water Safety Vietnam since 2013.
The Board is ably supported by a committee made up of interested volunteers (Vietnam Veterans, educators, Surf Lifesaving members, business men and women) who meet regularly to discuss issues and take on tasks to advance the project.
